Lens Box Media Works is a startup that provides media services in various fields ranging from photography to videography and many more. The company logo is a creative mass itself that has many layers and an ingenious thought behind it. It is designed by Poorva Pimplikar, an NID Ahmedabad student (Facebook, Instagram).
The logo, from a periphery view, depicts two multi-coloured boxes joined together. One has a reel frame on it while other one has camera aperture plates or ‘aperture leaves’ on it.
The boxes come from the name – Lens Box. Think of old school cameras, those cameras were literally rectangular cubes/boxes. However the logo doesn’t have perfect boxes, the boxes in the logo have rectangular planes with no boundaries. That signifies one of the vision that the company carries – not boxing itself to in a particular zone. The imagination and creative thoughts are limitless, not confining to any borders.
The boxes have a unique combination of colours on them. While the front and the sides are filled with blue, the top has an exuberant yellow on them. The blue signifies openness, freedom, intuition and imagination, and the yellow colour brings freshness and energy to the logo. These colours show the spirit of a young company- open to endless creativity and fresh in thoughts. The making of such thoughtful logo wasn’t an easy job as the designer had to incorporate the invisible mottos and principles in a single design.
Lens Box Media Works aims to bring fresh and intuitive content to the table every time the company takes up any project. The work produced differs from others because there is no compromise on quality and the team always deliver their best, come what may. The company is also open to new experiences because of the firm belief that founding members have “of growing and learning, not just individually but also as a team” along with its services.
As far as “framing with innovation” goes, it’s the motto of the company – that is written just below the logo, media content and frames go hand in hand always, which reflects in it. Since the company does its best to be innovative and different from others in content, this line clearly fits into the criteria.
The logo and the motto makes for the ‘spirit’ of the company that drives its members to work towards it. Lens Box Media Works have just embarked on a journey and there is plenty to cover in future, and this logo is just a beginning.
